Effectiveness in high density crops
High-density farming increases food yields without increasing planting acreage. Baby-leaf salad greens, for example, are sown at a very high density to obtain economic yields. This planting density might approach 1600 seeds per m2. In high-density seeded crops, our ultra-high precision laser aiming paired with our superior image recognition algorithms is extremely successful.
Very low soil compaction
We created a lightweight and flexible robot weighing less than 750 kg to minimize soil erosion and the detrimental impacts of a hefty vehicle. This implies that our technology maintains high levels of water infiltration and drainage.
Soil moisture preservation
We preserve soil moisture and prevent the emergence of new weed seeds on the soil surface by not disturbing the soil. This minimizes the likelihood of new weeds while also lowering your crop's watering requirements.
Precision agriculture data
Our robot is outfitted with high-resolution cameras and a global positioning system, and it captures a great quantity of precision agricultural data during operation (e.g., exact position of weed density, accurate field map with per-centimeter imaging views, and so on). These data, when combined with our powerful AI algorithms, are critical for accurate assessments of field and crop anomalies, soil health and humidity, yield estimation, and weed density.

Effectiveness in high density crops

To avoid soil erosion and the negative effects of a heavy vehicle we designed a lightweight and flexible robot, weighting less than 750 kg. This means that our solution preserves the water infiltration and drainage rates in very good levels.
Soil moisture preservation
Without any soil disturbance, we maintain soil moisture and prevent the appearance of new weed seeds on the soil surface. This reduces the probability of new weeds while we reduce the irrigation needs of your crop.
Precision agriculture data
Our robot is equipped with high-resolution cameras and a global positioning system and during its operation, it collects a large amount of precision agriculture data (e.g exact position of weeds density, precise field map with per-centimeter imaging views, etc.). Combined with our advanced AI algorithms these data are crucial for accurate estimations regarding field and crop abnormalities, soil health & humidity, yield estimation, and weed density.

The extensible width chassis, full-electric operation, all-wheel drive (AWD), four-wheel steering (4WS), 3-point hitch system, and high-effective laser weeder are among the hallmarks of the OMEGA. You may select the appropriate robot width and so adjust it to various crop geometries. You may utilize the 3-point method to optimize parallel activities when weeding, and you can use the robot to pull a trolley and assist you with different everyday duties such as harvesting.

A startup in northern Greece has created a robot that will soon be helping farmers carry out all sorts of agricultural tasks - and take Greece one step closer to getting to grips with smart agriculture.

Terra Robotics is a Greek company based in Kilkis and active in the development of technologies that contribute to the digital transformation of the agricultural sector .
Greek innovation ecosystem were described - among others - by Andreas Pollner, managing director of Bayer Hellas/ Cluster Division Head Pharma S., mentioning also the example of the cooperation with the company "Terra Robotics".
They believe that the future of agriculture is passing through artificial intelligence and want to contribute with their strengths to this transition. That's why they decided to develop an easy-to-use autonomous electric robot that will soon be able to help farmers with field work, saving them time and money and allowing them to produce high-quality organic products using smart technologies. After all, smart and green agriculture is their vision.
